Rafael Díaz returned to Barranquilla after studying civil engineering in Bogotá with a clear mission: bring the technical rigor of highland construction to the coast, adapted for the tropical environment.
He quickly saw why so many buildings in Barranquilla had problems: contractors using inland-grade materials that corroded or failed in coastal humidity. CoastalBuild was built around the solution.
Today, 10 years on, CoastalBuild has 420+ projects and a reputation as Barranquilla's most technically rigorous contractor. If it's built by CoastalBuild, it lasts.
